Greetings and salutations!

I’m Sili (pronounced Celie — yes, like The Color Purple — no, I don’t need to hear the Sophia monologue). I’m a writer, strategist, priest, Mami, lover of memes, and maker of mischief, among other things.

I’ve lived a lot of lives in the roles I’ve occupied, and what I share here is less about a title and more about the threads that tie them all together.

Café Con Sili is where I write at the intersections of stories, strategy, and spells.

• Stories are the current — from blogging in the early days of digital community to writing children’s books to shaping narratives that move people.

• Strategy is how I move — weaving systems, pulling threads together, finding patterns others miss.

• Spells are what keep me grounded — herbs in the kitchen, rituals at the altar, the quiet magic of showing up for joy and survival.

I found my way back to Substack while working on a client project, remembered my friends were here and was like…

And I don’t believe in coincidences. This space opened up just as I was writing again — at first for my mental health, but quickly it became the creative container I didn’t know I needed. What shows up here shifts: sometimes sharp strategy, sometimes a story, sometimes a spell (and you get to decide what that word means).

But every day, we have cafécito. Now, let’s brew something good together.
